Tony Lord, Charlie Salter & Paul Godding were all missing from the autumn meeting as they were in Durham representing our club last weekend in the Champion Club Tournament.
The competition was played at Brancepeth Castle, and was beautiful, as you can see in the image.

Autumn MeetingIt was a foggy start to the day, with the first players teeing off into the mist. Play did start on time, but only
just as the sun started to burn off the mist. The sun was soon out and players enjoyed good scoring conditions with very little wind.
Matthew Myers set a fast pace shooting 65 in the morning round with 13 pars and 5 Birdies for a course record. Ben Jones closed the gap with a 69 in the afternoon to finish 3 behind Matthew.

To all our Seniors Golfers
This year we are hosting the Northampton Seniors Challenge Trophy on Friday, 23 October (tee off 10.30 am to 12.30 pm) For those of you who may or may not remember, here is a brief outline of this competition as conceived by Peter Bretherton of Collingtree Park GC. Played for the first time on October 15th 2014, with the resident club just pipping ourselves on count back to win the Trophy first time. The Trophy being donated by Collingtree Park GC

Format
4 pairs per club, better ball Stableford off 3/4 handicap. Highest total of 3 best scores per club wins, the score of the 4th pair will be used to tie break if necessary, if still tied then the result will be a draw.
