Chris Fountain won the Cocker Cup presented by past Captain E Cocker in 1971 for the Thursday Medal winners. Tom Goodman's score of 73 gross 63 nett was the lowest nett score we have seen recently. With the course returning to fast running summer conditions it was an impressive score also from Steve Brightmore winning the gross with 69.

Mike and Paul won the Luffenham seniors open with 40 points.
This was two clear of the field, which included a 2 on the second par 4 from Mike for 5 points!!

Midland Boys Amateur Championships
Club members Callum Farr, Tom Forster and our Club Champion of 2014 Ben Jones all finished in the Top 10 at the Midland Boys last week . Callum lead the way winning with a 1 under par score. Ben tied for 6th with Paul Broadhurst's son Sam Broadhurst.

Ladies
The Ladies Cecil Leitch team had another great win last week. The team comprised Penny Letten, Diana Murkin, Alison Shine, Laura Steedman, Sue Lane, Jane Shearer and Dawn Mallard Parker. The match was Away against Peterborough Milton and our team won 4 matches to 3.
This is a fabulous result and the last match in our Division. We now wait to hear if we have qualified for the Semi-Finals.
On Course
With the recent hot weather the greenstaff have been out hand watering as and when required.
This week the greenkeepers Top dressed the greens on Monday they will be Spray brambles weather permitting and continuing to trim bunker edges throughout the week.
This week's windy forecast means they will hopefully be spraying at the end of week.
