Thursday's Medal

Thursday’s Medal saw a change in weather with strong winds throughout the day especially in the afternoon making scoring harder as the day went on. There was some excellent scoring given the conditions with Sam Henfrey taking best gross with 74.

Saturday’s Medal like Thursday experienced all 4 seasons in one day, with cold winds, heavy rain showers and sunny spells. 17 of 107 entries bettered Par on the day .the last chance of the shorter winter tees before returning to the longer summer course this week end.

The meal after play will now not go ahead so there will be plenty of time to get to the Saints Match. If you wish to play please put your name on the list and if you can't play now, please delete you name. It would be great to increase the numbers playing so please try and make time to play in this match.

Old shoes can be just as costly as wrong equipment

Worn golf shoes are dangerous, quite literally. Not only do you risk taking a tumble with tatty shoes, but with balance compromised, what chance does your swing have? You could be nicely fitted for the best clubs but with traction a problem that could all be in vain.
