Face coverings are now required from Friday 24th July in Shops.This includes Golf Pro Shops. Please bring a face covering when checking into a competion. We will have a limited number of paper coverings available.  This week's newsletter is packed full of useful topics to help you get the most from your game. Important notice

From 24th July 2020

Do you need to wear a mask at the golf club?

If you’re going in the Pro Shop to get a drink before your round, sign in for the competition or do some shopping you will now legally be required to wear a face covering.

To be clear you only have to wear a face covering, not a face mask, so this could be a household item such as a scarf or snood.

There are also certain groups that are exempt which includes those with disabilities and children under 11.

Those who fail to do so could face a fine of up to £100

You are not required to wear a face covering in the clubhouse.

Green for table and chairs

Half of the putting green in front of the clubhouse is not being mown this week to accommodate tables and chairs for the club championship.

Fairway
Early morning spraying

Fairways have started to grow again following the recent rain. This week the course staff have sprayed them with a feed to help them grow..

Colt
Brushing the greens

This week the Colt course greens have recieved a brush and sand to improve the putting surface.

Divot
Divoting

Course staff have divot filled the fairway as there are no divot bags for members atthis time.

Tiger returns!

Tiger Woods made his return to golf at The Memorial Tournament, playing at a Jack Nicklaus-designed course alongside Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka. That’s pretty cool!

Muirfield Village, better known as Jack’s Place, proved to be a brutal beast. 3-over was enough to make the cut and even-par enough for a share of 10th, with even the world’s best notching double and triple bogeys.

Jon Rahm became just the second Spaniard in history, behind Seve Ballesteros, to become World No.1 after a convincing victory in Ohio. Despite going +5 on Sunday’s back-nine, Rahm cruised to a three-stroke win.

Rahm’s final score of -9 will not jump off the page of PGA Tour winners, but numbers could never tell the story of just how much Jack’s Place demanded.
