A great day all round Last Sunday the juniors hosted their Family Texas Scramble, with competitions being played over 9 holes and 18 holes. With over 60 playing and eating afterwards the day was very well supported. Captain Leigh Moss welcomed everyone and gave a very good speech before passing over to juniors’ Captain Hattie Billson. Hattie thanked all those that had supported the day and the juniors over the past year before announcing her vice-captain as Luis Witherall. Thank you to Alex Dunkley who ran the halfway house which was a huge success with juniors asking for her recipes afterwards! Further thanks to Nathan Dennis who kindly donated prizes for the day as well as Sue Barrick for helping it run smoothly. Hattie and Leigh presented the prizes from the day as well as our trophy winners from 2017. For the first time we had a new trophy to present to the Most Improved golfer which was actually shared by two juniors as there was nothing to split them apart. The scoring was very impressive with the winning score for the 18 hole competition being a gross 60, nett 52.6.
- 9 Hole Runners Up: Morgan & Quentin Wade, Kieran & Greg Richardson nett 26.9.
- 9 Hole Winners: Reuben Starkey, Toby Sharman, Geoff & Jenny Pook nett 26.8.
- 18 holes 3rd Place: Thomas & Russell Sandiford, Hattie & Andy Billson nett 58.4.
- 18 holes Runners Up: Owen & Darren Watts, Corey Neville & Joe Quinn nett 54.5.
- 18 holes Winners: Josh & Nick Beal, Jake & Simon Richmond nett 52.6.
