Match report Last week the seniors travelled to Kirby Muxloe for a match against their seniors. The course was in lovely condition and with a determined effort from both teams the competition was tough. David Adams, in his first appearance as Match Day Captain, was looking for a good win to mark the occasion. However a final score of 3½ matches each was a fair result and was felt to be almost as good as a win to the NCGC team. While this didn’t actually help towards the goal of 20 wins this season at least it wasn’t a defeat.
Kedleston Park away day We held our second away day of the season. The venue proved to be accepted warmly by the members with the course in fine condition the weather glorious and the meal very enjoyable.
An Am-Am format was the order of the day with prizes for the first three teams. The scoring method of varying numbers of team member’s scores to count on various sections of the course proved interesting!
The winning team was that of Keith Turner, Rob Pearman, Brian May and Steve Battison with nearest the pin prizes going to Richard Wright and William Shearer.
