The visit by FootJoy on Wednesday helped many on our members find the shoe size they need. 

Following this month's three Demo Days from: Callaway, Mizuno and TaylorMade. 

We will start again in July. Between now and then we have demo clubs for you to try on the range just ask Lewis.

 

The Duke of York Cup was presented by the Duke of York who became King George V1 following his year of Captaincy in 1931. The King and his wife (The Queens mother ) would often play on Sunday afternoons.

Club Member Matthew Myers a student at the University of St Andrews has claimed the top prize from the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), the national governing body for Higher Education Sport in the United Kingdom. 

First year physics student Matthew Myers was named British Individual Stroke Play Champion and awarded the Order of Merit title after a hard fought battle at the BUCS Tour Final at Prince's Golf Club in Kent last week.

Well done Matthew. 

 

On the course 

Looking back to this time 12 months ago, it is obvious we are having a much better spring. The grass is growing and the ground is dry. We have had nearly 100mm (4") less rainfall to date, that's close to 25% less than last year. 

Despite the recent cold nights, we are still approximately 3 weeks further ahead in terms of growth than we were this time last year, even the bluebells in Fox Covert are starting to flower.
