Seniors
The Seniors held their preseason event competing for the Brampton Ram trophy. Pairs were drawn for a better ball competition.
The scoring was spectacular with nine of the eighteen pairs reaching 40 points or more with the winners amassing 47.
Laurie Johnson celebrated the day with a hole in one on the 3rd and combined with Steve Battison to win the day. In second place with 46 points were Ian Menzies and Rob Spokes. Ian, a recent new member, obviously enjoying his debut. Nearest the pins were won by Laurie for his hole in one and William Shearer on the 12th. Well done!
The day was in memory of John Bernstein, with his wife kindly donating a welcome drink to the participants and his son Robert, attending the dinner presenting the prizes and making a short speech. This bore particular reference to his father and his time at the club.
The season will shortly be underway with 2 matches in April. Availability sheets are now posted on the board. Remember all members 60 years and over eligible to play. New participants are always welcome.

On the Course...
This week we lost another tree on the 2nd hole, it was not the chainsaw however this week, the tree just grew too big for its root ball.
This week:
- Topdress & iron greens - Monday.
- Continue clearing gorse, copses & paths.
- Start work on 13th tee path.
- Extend 11th winter tee. (Old ladies tee)
