Ladies Captains Away Day

Ladies Captain Di Murkin had her away day at Longcliffe Golf Club in Leicestershire last week.

The ladies Cecil Leitch team were at home against Cold Ashby on Monday .

Following the Ladies County Championships held at Whitlebury Park the squad has been announced to represent the County at County Week this year held at Northampton Golf Club.

Ladies County TeamCharlotte Taylor was the only club member to make the squad this year squad.

Sally Savage came out on top with 38pts in the May Stableford.

Sue McRae won Div 1 with 37pts, Geeta Patel Div 2 with 34pts and Dawn Mallard Div 3 27pts

The Junior Team had their first League match of 2014 at home to Rushden on Sunday . Rhys Taylor lead the team out in style, winning 6&5. Taylor Morgan also picking up a victory on his debut, the result was 2 ½ – 2 ½ tie

The Colt Course

The Colt course is being used by members more and more whether is for warm up before play special events, practise or learning to play. The club has a number of Colt course members of all standards and ages from 7 to 70s its a wide age group of people enjoying Golf.

   

The Colt course was in full swing Friday evening with families raising money for a good cause. Event organiser junior member Nathan Hoffman was in control as part of his schools common entrance syllabus. The BBQ wafted its smell s around the course making for a number of hungry golfers.

   

Nathan raised £750 for the Red Cross charity .
