Greetings from Tim, Mark, Adam, Ben & John.
Thursday Stableford
Michael Cheney was in hot form last week. Not only did he win the Thursday Stableford but he and his partner Alan Wrigley playing in the Lees Cup 1/4 final knock on Sunday morning started nett birdie, birdie, hole in one with Michael holing his tee shot! Michael commented "we were 1up through 3, it's a tough school to play in".

Charlie Salter (2nd on the back left) was part of the England's U16 boys' team that began their 2016 campaign against the other home countries with a resounding 15-5 win over Wales at Newport Golf Club.
The match started with a close opening session of singles in which England edged ahead by one point, winning 4.5-3.5.
The team extended their lead with a 4-1 win in the foursomes and signed off with an excellent performance in the final eight singles, in which they were unbeaten.
Winning 7 games and halving one.
Blimey Charlie, it's the last full week of August. To quote Phil "it'll soon be Christmas!" Ok, then.
It's the Colin Green on Saturday, so a week of prep.
- Strim bunkers - Strim gorse copses, especially 1st and 8th - Divot tees and landing areas - Start to mow rough through trees - The irrigation system still has a few faults to fix
