Greetings from Tim, Mark, Adam, Ben & John.
Our Major Champion
Congratulations to Our Touring Professional Paul Broadhurst now a Major Champion after winning one of golf's majors, the Senior Open champion.
Paul paid tribute to Northants County GC & Pro Tim Rouse for turning his career around.
Paul, 50, carded a final-round 68 to overhaul a four-deficit on 54-hole leader Miguel Angel Jimenez and win by two shots at Carnoustie on Sunday.
The win not only qualifies Paul for next year's 146th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, and gives him a one-year exemption on the 2017 Champions Tour.
"It's incredible to be honest. I never dreamed this would ever happen," the former Ryder Cup player told BBC Scotland.
"It is seriously beyond my wildest dreams. It hasn't really sunk in yet."
Paul has been mainly playing in Northamptonshire and PGA Midlands tournaments & Pro-Ams, put his recent success down to a Club Pro Tim.
"I had a decision to make; either stop playing and perhaps go into teaching or find a job - I was only 45-46," he said. "But I decided I wanted to carry on playing. I was working with Tim Rouse, the pro at Northants County Golf Club, and he has turned my game around really."
"That was my remit when we first met - I want to be playing well when I get to 50 - we have got three years to sort my game out ready for the Senior Tour'. So a massive thank-you to him. Without his help, this wouldn't have happened."

Anyone playing last Friday would have seen a group walking around the course. Adam and Alistair from STRI were here to assess the progress Rob and his team are making before maintenance week starts on 1st August.
This will involve hollow coring the greens followed by scarifying. This is a very labour intensive process, so please remember the course staff have priority during the week.
At the end of the week around 110 tonnes of sand dressing will have been added to the greens.
