Greetings from Tim, Mark, Adam, Ben & John.
Charity ProAm 2016
The Travis Perkins team including club members Anthony Alderton & Ben Jones won the ProAm team score with -19 a fantastic score. First out at 7.30am, playing with their Pro Dan Wood and Dean Jelly from Brampton Heath, they set a score that no one else could catch.
Players were met on arrival with a display of super cars before heading in for their bacon roll. First tee gifts, doughnuts, a half way house with BBQ, 3 course meal and prizes all around the course all helped players to have a good day.
Lee Clarke and
James Whatley tied first in the pro scores with a -2, 68.
Cecil Leitch News
On Monday, 4 July our magnificent Cecil Leitch Team did it again with another away win against Northampton 4 games to 3.
The team had fierce competition from Northampton, who naturally playing on their own course had the advantage, but our girls secured the winning score.
The players for this match were
Kate James, Penny Letten, Di Murkin, Alison Shine, Denise Brady, Laura Steedman and
Vivienne McManus.
We are now leaders in our Division, but we shall have to wait until the end of the month to see if we go through to the Semi-Final.

Winston Golf Senior OpenPaul had a slow week with the putter in Germany last week. 67 in his final round gave him a place in the Play off. Par at the 2nd playoff hole however gave Andrew Oldcorn the win.
Click here to view the results.
This week;
- Trim hedges 12th & 13th tee
- Strim through tree and gorse copses
- Spray brambles if the wind drops
We are planning to start hollow coring and scarifying the greens on the 3 holes this week, obviously weather permitting.
