Club Championships
Here are a few photos from the recent Championship. We would also like to thank David Goodham for his help with managing the scores and the competition.
Seniors held their latest fixture at home to The Leicestershire and continued their winning streak which is now stretched to 8 matches with a victory 4.5 to 1.5.
Captain for the day was
Frank Fitzpatrick playing against his former club and led the way with a comfortable victory partnered by
Rob Spokes.
There were victories for
Dennis Walker with
David Adams (good to see him back) and also
John Roberts and
Nigel Kaye and
Greg Smart with
Adrian Parr.
William Wells and
Steve Battison came home with a half.
One interesting occurrence was
Rob Pearman hitting a Sparrow with his ball! Unfortunately the Sparrow in question was
David Sparrow, a member of the opposition's team who is now sporting a Titleist tattoo on his rump!!
Dennis Walker With the recent weather the course continues to play tough. Well done to
Hennie Cordner who won last week's Stableford with 34 points.

Cecil Leitch News
On Monday, 20 June it was a miserable wet day when our Cecil Leitch team played Rushden Golf Club. The match was at home and although the conditions were very unpleasant, our marvellous team had a clean sweep when they won 7 - 0.
This was a tremendous boost to the team to have another good win, hot on the heels of their Rushden Away win the previous week.
The team who played were
Di Murkin, Alison Shine, Denise Brady, Jane Shearer, Diana Wells, Vivienne McManus and
Ursula Morris.
Our next match will be on Monday, 27 June with the team play Kettering at Home.
Heather Williams Topdress greens on Monday. This will be two weeks on the trot but we need to clear the soil shed for the kiln dried sand delivery in a couple of weeks. This will more than likely be the last dressing prior to the maintenance week in August.
Strim the stream.
Spray brambles - Tuesday. It looks to be the only day suitable according to the forecast.
