Greetings from Tim, Mark, Adam, Ben & John.
Aim point
Last Friday we had Aimpoint's European Tour putting instructor Jamie Donaldson visit us to host clinics for our members. In summary, the process allows you to better understand slopes, how to decide their severity and how to read all manner of putts correctly.
The feedback from the members who attended was very positive, if any other member 's would like to know more or participate in a clinic please contact Mark in the Pro-Shop who is looking to arrange another date with Jamie.

The Ladies Scratch League team have bounced back into winning form this weekend. In beautiful conditions the team played at Northampton Golf club and the opposition was Whittlebury Park.
Rachel Smith was against former County Champion, Christina Hancock and this was always going to be a close encounter. Happily Rachel triumphed on the 19th, Millie Billson had an excellent win by 6/4 and ever reliable Angela Duck won 2/1.
The next match is at Wellingborough GC on Saturday, 4 June against Northampton GC, tee off is at 2.00 pm. A good win here could be invaluable.

Cecil Leitch
The Cecil Leitch team played at Oundle on Friday but sadly lost 4 games to 3. Very disappointing. I enclose a report for the newsletter.
The Cecil Leitch team played Oundle Golf Club Away on Friday, 20 May. The team was Penny Letten, Di Murkin, Alison Shine, Louise Hemingway, Pam Oliver, Vanessa Barrow and Diana Wells.
Sadly we could not keep up our recent winning results and were narrowly beaten 4 games to 3. The matches were very close and two were lost on the 18th hole.
The team was very disappointed but will endeavour to do better in the next match which again is an Away match against Rushden on Monday, 6 June.

Cecil Leitch Captain
Seniors matches now in full swing with fixtures coming thick and fast. Since last report 3matches have been played:
Ashridge at home saw a resounding victory by 5 to 1 with a whitewash only being denied us by a defeat for the "K club" of Kingston and Kennedy!
Next came a visit from Frilford Heath for a first leg of the annual Brampton Ram. Again we were victorious this time by a tighter margin of 4.5 to 2.5. A good lead to take too their place later in the year.
Finally, we hosted Copt Heath and again won the day this time with a 5 to 2 score line. It could have been better but in this instance it was the "W club " of Walker and Whalley who did not hold up their end.
The selection for the June matches will be released soon.
Juniors - Please remember to enter online for the Junior Club Championships on Sunday, 19 June, at present we only have one entry.
Summer coaching camp dates will be confirmed very shortly so please keep an eye out and remember to tell your friends - they are very welcome!
This week the Greenstaff planned to top dress the greens on Monday, throughout the week they will be strimming bunkers, topping up sand on the 9th, 13th & 15th, divoting tees and spraying the brambles.
