Thursday Stableford 

Last week's Stableford was high scoring affair with 37 points only just getting into the prizes. Lee Woolerton shot 42pts for his first win of the New Year and a three point lead over 2nd place David Crossley 39pts. 97 players took part on what turned out to be a dry day. Nick Page was obviously enjoying the Par 3's, recording a 2 on three out of the 4 par 3's.

On a very windy day, four juniors played in the Medal, with rugby season coming to a close we look forward to seeing an increase in numbers playing.

Floodlit Coaching 

With the recent weather now behind us we look forward to starting our Mid Week Junior floodlit coaching, the sessions will be on Wednesdays from 5pm - 6pm, members and non-members welcome. 

The cost will be £5 per Junior and please ring the Pro Shop on 01604 842226 to reserve your place.



1st April 2016 - A Ryder Cup Evening 

A small Rugby match, England V France caused a rescheduling of this evening. The club can now confirm a Ryder Cup evening and dinner on 1st April. 

Guest speakers on the night include Sandy Jones, Chief Executive of the PGA and Ryder Cup Board. Paul Broadhurst, former Ryder Cup Player and European Seniors Tour player.

It will be a great opportunity for our own teams to hear about matches at the highest level. More information regarding this event will be communicated over the forthcoming weeks. 

Book your place with the office or bar guest are welcome.  

Paul was unbeaten in 1991 Ryder Cup team at Kiawah Island he is one of only a few with an unbeaten record.

Gentleman's Dinner - Thursday, 14 April - 7.00pm for 7.30pm 

There is a Rugby theme to the Gentleman's Dinner on 14th April. Guest speakers include, Tim Stimpson (Leicester Tigers & England) & Robert Taylor (Saints & England). 

Tickets are £27.50 per person and dress code which will be lounge suits with club tie. Money raised on the evening will go to the Captain's Charity, Motor Neurone Disease. 

Bookings along with menu choices can be made via the bar. This will be hosted by Frank Aiger.

Aimpoint

We are excited to offer you this excellent opportunity to improve your Putting and Green Reading skills with European Tour coach Jamie Donaldson. Jame has helped coach many of the PGA and European Tour players you are familiar with on these very skills.

Each session will last 2 hours and the groups will be no more than 8 ensuring that each person spends time with Jamie to get the most out of the day. 

The cost for the 2 hour session is £99 which offers you a fantastic deal given the quality of the information on offer.

This week the course team will continue with the gorse work: 18th, 15th tee and the 3 holes remaining. 

- Vertidraining has started on the greens and approaches using 13mm tines. 
- Complete course grass bays. The Machinery is going through its winter servicing. 
- Cut back and collect brambles around course.
