A Happy New Year to you all, here's hoping you enjoy your best ever year on and off the golf course. We don't wish to start the year on a negative, but let's face it, the weather isn't looking too great is it?!
With this in mind, we know many of you have taken to the range to work on your game. If you are doing so, rather than taking a bucket of balls and swinging away aimlessly, give yourself a goal. It takes no time at all to crack your way through 30 or 60 balls, but what are you hoping to achieve by the end of it? Too many amateur golfers make this common mistake.
We have some ways of helping you to improve your range time. Come and speak to the team because we can identify areas of your game where you can improve and offer drills to help you get there. Not only will goals help you focus more on what you're trying to achieve, but it will make hitting balls a touch more rewarding as well.

The bunkers and the new sand appear to be working well through the heavy rain of the last month. While many are still GUR they are free of standing water.
For early morning starters the bright new look club web site was released just before Christmas, it has been well received by members and visitors. The course condition did prove difficult to find at first for some in its new location at the bottom of the home page.
The website is updated daily at this time of year along with the Course Status phone line 07932489584 by the course manager. With dawn coming at 7.25 am at this time of year the course status may change following a course inspection or weather change later in the day. With many courses closed in the area the course staff are doing all they can to keep the course playable for members.
Buggies and trolleys are reviewed daily along with the greens.
Thursday's report on the bottom read - Current course condition - Closed - No trolleys or Buggies - Please check daily.
