Captains' Drive in
Members were welcolmed with a glass of mulled wine before the three Captains drove in.
The total distance of the drives was 591 yards, with Mr William Shearer winning the champagne for nearest guess with 595 yards.
Saturday's Christmas Competition
Breakfast was served before a wet start on Saturday. The weather improved as did alot of players as they arrived at the half way house for mulled wine. A hot helping of shepherds pie welcomed players as they finished.
This year's winners were Farther and son combination Neil and Tom Goodman with 43 pts.

Seniors Christmas Competition
The Seniors held their Shotgun Christmas Competition last Thursday and most managed to finish before the rain came. It was also the day of past Captain John Bernstein's Funeral who sadly passed away after a long illness. As a tribute to John and his commitment to the club the players held a minutes silence at the time of his service.
There were an amazing 92 players entered into the annual get together for the Seniors. As always well organised by Roger Street well supported and assisted by your captain Frank Ainger. One two and sometimes three visits were allowed to the halfway house where the ladies section helped serve snacks and a little tipple!

3rd Leigh Moss and Richard Kendrick 40 points
4th John Brierley and John Bennett also 40 points.
Ladies Christmas Competition
The Ladies were in festive spirits on Tuesday playing their Christmas competition. The format was 9 holes, Fourball Betterball Stableford with players starting on both the 1st and 8th tee. Mother and daughter combined well to win with 22 points, well done to Stephanie McAra & Fiona McAra.

Tour News
Paul Broadhurst finished his season with a 10th place finish at the MCB Tour Championship in Mauritius. Paul just missed out on a Champions Tour Card for 2016 the week before in the USA.
Paul ended the year in 12th position on the European Seniors Tour Order of Merit from only 4 Starts.
